In February 2021, during the UK's third national lockdown, a spark of creativity connected two of Sheffield's local musicians (and good friends), Taran Ali and Joe Richards of Awooga and Gilmore Trail respectively.
Acknowledging our shared influences*, that spark has since grown into Tekrar Eden - Sheffield's premier (only?) minimalist rock duo. We have become a performing live band (featuring live guitarist David Ivall) and now, 11 months after the initial idea came into being, we are extremely proud to present our first official release: the Möbius EP.
Möbius is a product of consciousness and expression; in many ways, it's the aural representation of our chaotic mindsets during isolation as we craved some grounding and focus. We channelled our influences whilst writing and recording our parts at our separate homes, aiming to step beyond of the styles of our primary bands to create a new and unique audio-visual experience.
The three tracks appear here in the order in which they were written; 'Devam' is based on one thematic motif, 'Mocean' on two themes and finally 'Fractal' on three. Each song was based on different tonalities, rhythmic approaches and cultural influences, and has in many ways laid the groundwork for what we hope to explore musically together moving forwards.

A perambulation down the by now familiar trail but this time the weather has conspired with other atmospheric forces to reveal the stunning views.
Additional: I find this and their other albums provide the perfect soundtrack for driving in Wales. Moth Ear Earth
I remember in my childhood near a village there was a place full of dead trees, red and dead from all the chemicals that were dumped into the nearby bay from the chemical plant. That's exactly the vibes I get from this effort, similar in story or not. Morbid! But hopefully a wake up call for some as well. Aleksei Tepljakov
Landing somewhere between bubblegrum grunge and no-frills post-punk, the Australian's band debut is tense, moody rock done right. Bandcamp New & Notable May 3, 2023
